If you remember, when I shared my goals back in January, one of my aspirations this year was to build more relationships with other creatives and wedding vendors. Welp, y’all, I’ve been checking things off left and right! Earlier this month, I was one of the lucky ladies who acted quickly enough [I obviously spend too much time on instagram] to get a ticket to the Creative Union Dinner. I have followed the CU founders, Mary and Zoe, for a while and have been dying to attend one of their dinners! Mary’s eye for design is impeccable and Zoe’s pictures are always awesome!
Dinner was held at the Corner Gallery in Norfolk, with some pretty impressive pieces displayed by our dinner table. The owner, Anne, shared her story and I was so impressed by her! She is also opening the gallery for events and weddings and it would be SUCH a fun place to host a small reception, bridal shower, or rehearsal dinner. All you 757 girls keep that in mind!
One of my favorite things about this community is how they celebrate and lift each other up. If you know me, you know I can be [annoyingly] positive and have even been known to defend a stranger when someone makes a negative judgement on them. I just don’t understand how you can live a happy, successful life by putting others down! Anyway, spending hours chatting with others who have the same mindset fills my cup and I cannot wait for the next dinner to do it all again!
Who’s coming with me next time?!
