[ kaitlyn + connor | the williamsburg winery ]

Posted in: Weddings

You guys. I don’t even know where to begin with this wedding and this couple! I first “met” Kaitlyn through Instagram. I know her older sister and when Kaitlyn was preparing to launch her business, kvh. Creative, her sister shared it and I obviously started following her. Fast forward a few months and I saw that Kaitlyn was on a family vacation in Puerto Rico, where my husband and I just happened to be traveling a couple months later. I bit the bullet and sent her a DM asking for some travel tips. Who would have known that during that trip she would become engaged to Connor, come home, set a wedding date, book a coordinator, have the venue and date fall through, and then I would get a sweet little message from her asking for help. Y’all, I feel [maybe a bit selfishly] like all of it was totally a God-thing and that we were supposed to cross paths.

When Kaitlyn and I first sat down to talk about her wedding, I asked her what was most important about their wedding day, the number one priority. Most people say a good band, an open bar, a fun party. When thinking about her wedding, the most crucial aspect for Kaitlyn was that her guests could feel the presence of God throughout the day and see His love through her and Connor’s marriage. This girl just GETS. IT. She is so genuine, has such a strong faith, is insanely thoughtful, and is still so freaking cool! And Connor, he compliments her in all the best ways and is somehow just as kind as she is. These two are special and I cannot express how thankful I am to be a small part of their world.

Now I’ll stop my gushing and let you get to the good stuff! Without further ado, here is Kaitlyn + Connor’s wedding at the Williamsburg Winery, courtesy of the [just as awesome] Courtney Timms Photography.

One of my very favorite parts of the day came at the end of the night. After all their guests exited the room to get set up for their send-off, Kaitlyn and Connor stayed behind to have one final private dance together. I told you, they’re the sweetest.

And last, but not least, a big CHEERS to the vendor team who made it all possible!
