Audrey and Adam’s beautiful private residence wedding is bringing back all the feels for me. Audrey, her mom, and I spent a year and a half together planning every little detail of this wedding. They welcomed me into their home many times and we spent weekends together in Richmond and Charlottesville hunting for the perfect venue. I’m not exaggerating when I say we toured over 10 possible [absolutely beautiful] wedding venues, but nothing ever felt like it checked all of the boxes. At one point, Audrey questioned the idea of having their wedding ceremony and reception at her childhood home and from that point on, no other venue would live up to the Batzel residence.
On a beautiful day in June, Audrey and Adam said “I do” in the same spot they exchanged corsages for Audrey’s senior prom. Everything about their ceremony was personalized – from allowing time for Adam’s sister to say a few words to which sides they stood on. One of my very favorite parts, though, was the joy on Audrey’s face as they recessed down the aisle. I must have heard her say “Oh my goodness, Adam, we’re married!” or “We did it!” at least 5 times in a row and it was the sweetest thing ever. These two are special and so supportive of each other and I am so thankful that this business of mine brought them into my life. Congratulations, Audrey and Adam, and thank you for letting me play a small part in your day!
