Getting this post ready to publish has me thinking “where the heck has 2019 gone already?!” I cannot believe it’s been almost three whole months since New Years Eve and this special and super fun wedding at the Historic Post Office! From the first moment I spoke with Julie, we just clicked. She has one of the most genuine, loving, grace-filled personalities I have ever encountered. And her now-husband Jake, is just as wonderful. The two of them live down in Georgia, where they went to college, and Julie is an elementary school teacher. If you know anyone who works in a school, you know the last thing you want to be doing leading up to winter break is dealing with last minute wedding details. Luckily, Julie’s sister, Cayte, and mom, Gretchen, were a huge support in taking care of things for her. Thank goodness they were there because we definitely encountered some crazy situations and worked as a team to make sure Julie had no idea what was going on!
Julie and Jake’s wedding day was SO many things; romantic, fun, celebratory, love-filled, and personal. There were many moments that made me tear up and ones I know none of us will forget. From their personalized letters and the sweetest first look, to the two of them worshiping during their ceremony, all the way to a midnight confetti explosion, and a private last dance. Julie and Jake – y’all have something so special and I know that your marriage has such a strong foundation. I cannot wait to see how the two of you impact others through your relationship because I know you will! Congratulations sweet friends!
