Hannah and Alfred’s romantic wedding at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens is one of those that still gives me all the feels. There is so much about these two and this wedding that could not be more perfect. Hannah and Alfred both have hearts of gold, they are literally some of the kindest people I have ever met. They are also insanely smart, they both graduated from EVMS the weekend following their wedding! [And then moved to North Carolina another week after that… talk about a month of major life changes!] Now Alfred is working in geriatrics and Hannah is in pediatrics, I mean, how perfectly do they balance each other out?!
Hannah gets all of the credit for their pink-filled design! Everything just screamed classic romance! Palette of Petals absolutely killed it with the fluffy coral peonies, Cuisine and Co created custom stations to give guests a taste of where Hannah and Alfred have lived, and can we just talk about how everyone needs macaroon ice cream sandwiches from Hummingbird as their late night snack?! Literally the only thing that didn’t cooperate was the weather. We had to go with the rain plan, and the gazebo outside of Rose Garden Hall is a pretty great Plan B! With everyone gathered around, it felt like such an intimate ceremony. Thank goodness we did choose the backup plan though, because as soon as we got everyone inside for cocktail hour, our phones all lit up with tornado warnings! No worries, we kept the tornadoes away and they partied well into the night!
Thank you for letting us be a part of your day, Hannah and Alfred! Come back and visit soon!
