[ kellam + sam | elkington events, eastern shore ]

Posted in: Weddings

This coastal, Eastern Shore wedding for Kellam and Sam is one that I am so honored to have been a part of. Kellam’s parents, Paige and Hunt, are owners of Eastern Shore Events and Rentals and I had worked with them before! They are such a well-respected vendor and I was so grateful that they let me be a part of the team for their daughter’s big day!

I first met Kellam and Sam when Elizabeth Friske Photography shot their engagement session during our girls weekend in Charleston last March. It was pretty set that Beth would be doing their photos and Holly would be helping them with planning and coordination. However, once Kellam and Sam officially set a date, it would up being one that both of them were booked! As bummed as I was for them, Morgan and I were happy to step in and take their places!

Kellam’s mom Paige is one of the most creative and detail-oriented people I have ever met. Crafting is her way to wind down after a full day at work, and man did she spend a lotttt of time “winding down” in preparation for this wedding. Literally every single detail you see was hand picked [and most likely made] by Paige. From the napkin rings, to the oyster garlands, to the match boxes, and the oyster ornaments, she made it all! While she was working on all of this, Kellam and Sam were down in Charleston getting ready for their next step after she graduated from the College of Charleston and he,  The Citadel, in May. I loved getting to spend time with Kellam on her visits back to the shore. She has a smile that lights up the room, and Sam brings that smile out even more. You can see how in love these two are by the way they look at each other. They’ve got something special and I wish them all the joy in the world as they navigate marriage, life in Texas, and puppy parenthood! Congrats to the McQuittys!
